November Progress Photo and New Half-Up

Posted on November 19, 2010 at 6:32 AM Comments comments (0)

On my Half-Updos page, I have added an extremely simple but pretty style. It's called a Twisted Crossed Half-Updo.

I have also posted my November 2010 progress photos, which are of course, found on the Progress Photos page..

I'll be adding a new updo in a few days, and I'll have another video in a week or so.

Enjoy your day!

Figure 8 Video

I have just added a new video demonstrating how to make a Figure 8 updo. This bun is fairly easy, and it's quite popular. My hair has just gotten long enough to do it now.

I hope that you enjoy it.

Have a great Vernal Equinox. :)

New Half Updo

Today I've added a new hairstyle to the Half-Ups page. It's an Arwen-inspired 3 Braid Half-Up. I think it's kind of whimsical and pretty.

I'll be adding a new video tutorial within the week.

I hope that everyone has had a good summer.

Bye for now. :)

August Progress Photos

Posted on August 8, 2010 at 6:18 AM Comments comments (0)

I did my quarterly update and published my progress photos for August 2010.  There really is almost no difference since May, except for the sides, as I cut 2 inches off of the centre ends, which were in a V-shape, and damaged. The new photos can be found in the Progress Photos page.

Wishing everyone well,

Franny :)

Gibson Tuck Video

The Gibson Tuck is a lovely Edwardian updo that is quick and easy to do and very protective for hair. Today I have added a video with step-by-step instructions for this style.

2 New Updos and Another Video

Posted on July 20, 2010 at 9:01 AM Comments comments (0)

I have added 2 new hairstyles to my Updos page.  One is The Southern Tease, which I adapted for my length and hairtype.  I made an instructional video to show you how to do it, step by step.  I like this style, as it's very neat-looking and keeps the hair contained.  So it's both protective and pretty.

I also added the 3 Knot Updo.  This is a more casual, messy style.

New Updo Video

On my Updos page, I have photos of a Wrapped Hairstick Bun.  Today I have added a video tutorial on how to do this quick, easy and versatile style.  I hope you like it.

To any visitors who are Canadian like myself, I wish you a happy Canada Day tomorrow. :)

2 New Hairstyles

Posted on June 21, 2010 at 12:06 PM Comments comments (0)

There is a new 5 strand braid half-updo on my Half-Ups page.  It is a great style to try if you want to learn how to do a 5 strand braid, but aren't ready to try a French 5 strand half-updo.

I have also added photos of my hair done in loose spiral curls. They are on the Everyday Flair page. It took me only 90 minutes to do, and I used no heat.  The curls lasted not only all day, but were still there to a lesser extent, even the next day. Even I was shocked, as my hair does not ordinarily hold a curl well.

So it's summer as of today, at last!  I hope that everyone is enjoying the first day of the season. :)

A New Video and My Daily Blogspot Blog

Today I've added a new video to my Videos page.  It is a demonstration of both how to make a Cinnamon Bun Updo and how to properly use hair sticks to hold an updo.

If you're interested in other how-to's, hair tips and ideas, and hair talk in general, visit my daily blog, My Bumpy Middle-Aged Long Hair Journey.

I hope that everyone is headed into a wonderful weekend!

Finally, my first video

Posted on June 7, 2010 at 8:47 PM Comments comments (0)

I've been threatening to do it for so long, but only now have I made my first instructional hairstyle video.  It's on my new Videos page.

I am demonstrating step-by-step instrctions for the French Twist hairstyle in this video, as my hair is about to grow out of this method of making a French Twist.  I will do the longer hair method of making a French Twist once my hair is just a bit longer.

I hope that it helps someone learn this quick and easy but elegant style.  Be well everyone! :)
