Today’s Blogmas publish is a partnership topic – we’ll all be publishing diy projects.  My DIY will be a version of the Swarovski Stardust jewellery:

You’ve most likely seen these being advertised by Miranda Kerr. They’re lovely however the retail cost for the Stardust pendant is $99 as well as the bracelet is $59 I’ll show you exactly how to make your own for a fraction of that price!

Materials as well as tools:
• nylon fit together tubing (I utilized the 4mm for the pendant as well as 9mm for the bracelet)
• 3mm faceted glass beads (how lots of beads you requirement depends upon exactly how thick as well as long your job will be – the pendant needed one-18″ strand as well as the bracelet likewise needed one-18″ because of it being thicker)
• round metal end caps as well as clasp
• E6000 Craft Adhesive
• scissors
• tape
• little bowl
• paper towels
• toothpicks

Instructions:

1. cut required length of nylon fit together tubing – I desired a 18″ pendant as well as 7″ bracelet so I cut 20″ as well as 9″ to provide some slack

2. pour beads into little bowl

3. Tape one end of the nylon fit together tubing

4. Insert beads into the nylon fit together tubing 1 each time for the 4mm tubing (necklace) or pour beads into 9mm tubing (bracelet) up until preferred length is reached [the 4mm tube will in shape just 1 bead across whereas the 9mm tubing will in shape 3 beads across]

5. make sure beads are distribute evenly as well as trim ends of fit together tubing to leave 5mm on each end

6. capture E6000 glue onto paper towel as well as utilize toothpicks to apply glue to every end of fit together tube

7. push fit together tubing ends into the metal end caps – hold for 30 seconds each to make sure adhesion

8. Leave glue to try for 24 hours before wearing

You can make these as a gift or for yourself!  The possibilities are limitless – the nylon fit together tubes are available in a range of colours as well as sizes, as well as the beads inside can be any type of colour or combination of colours – I’ve seen lovely pendants with gradiation of rainbow colours.

Total cost: for necklace: $6.50, for bracelet: $5.75

Even Avon has their own version, however still not as affordable – or as special – as the handmade version. would you think about making your own Stardust jewellery?
