FOTD with D&G’s beauty Voyage spring 2016
Ready for the warmer weather
Hi, everyone! I thought I’d share my face of the day and thoughts on two new-to-me products: Dolce & Gabbana spring 2016 The beauty Voyage ($150) and The Body Shop’s Fresh nude Foundation ($25).

Since I wanted a sheer and hydrated look, I decided to try out the Body Shop’s new Fresh nude foundation. With a medium semi-matte finish, it gives a little glow with none of that awkward greasy 5 p.m. face.

It starts out sticky, but it lasts well for around six or seven hours on my oily-combo face. If you have normal to dry skin, you may really like this option!

Is anyone else “ooohing” and “aahing” right now? because this is a gorgeous little palette, isn’t it? It’s very heavy and very glam! Dolce & Gabbana actually created this to be a full-face travel palette, and it includes four neutral eyeshadows, one blush, one illuminator, and two lip colors. These are all existing products in the D&G line, so it’s also a great introduction to the brand.

The “Voyage to Sicily” look
Swatches of The beauty Voyage palette: “The Eyeshadow,” “The Blush,” and “The Illuminator”
The eyeshadows feel very…what’s the word…elegant? I ended up applying my eyeshadow in classic Lisa Eldridge fashion — instead of packing on the pigment, I was more trying to emphasize my eye shape and add a soft reflection to the center of my lid.

The blush is a beautiful matte color, and the illuminator is more like a pressed powder with sparkle (you’ll either love it or hate it).

Swatches of “The Lipstick” in Devil 620 and Honey 130
While I know that Dolce & Gabbana excels with powders, I was blown away by the lipsticks! maybe I gave up on the idea of a face palette too soon. The classic red lipstick, Devil 620, is ridiculously pigmented in a thin formula, and I highly recommend using the lip brush for accuracy.

Honey 130 serves more as a lip tint, and I could apply this dabbed on with my finger.

You can buy the limited edition Dolce & Gabbana palette at Nordstrom, Harrods, Macys, Saks 5th Ave, and D&G.

The Fresh nude foundation is available permanently at The Body Shop.

See you in the next!
